This initial 12-month fixed-term role is based at our Perth office.
As a critical member of the WEM (Wholesale Electricity Market) Operation Solutions team the Senior Front-End Developer will be responsible for building and maintaining user-facing features of critical real-time power system operation software solutions; working closely with integration teams and other development teams to design build and commission those solutions; engaging with subject matter experts and business stakeholders to ensure requirements are met; and supporting readiness and transitional activities.
This role would need to support successful implementation of critical programs and projects for WA portfolio from time to time.
Role responsibilities
- Develop responsive seamless interactive and accessible user interfaces using HTML CSS JavaScript and moderm frameworks using
- Engage with UI/UX designers SMEs and relevant stakeholders to implement mock-ups and wireframes.
- Optimise web pages for maximum speed scalability and accessibility and ensure technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
- Build maintain and improve existing front-end codebases and work with back-end developers and other digital teams for integration and data services
- Work with Project Managers and Project Leads and support Production Readiness activities and material development.
- Perform code reviews and SME for ongoing support and enhancements for the Power Systems.
- Active and visible support of relevant Workplace Health and Safety Anti-Discrimination and Competition and Consumer Acts.
Role requirements
- Extensive experience in as Front-End Developer or similar role and involved building software including design development and integration.
- Experience in high performing teams running in Agile Waterfall or Hybrid projects.
- Proven skills in managing software builds automated testing and deployment pipelines.
- Demonstrating excellent understanding of delivering enterprise applications using HTML CSS Javascript Vuejs front-end framework
- Familiarity with UX standards GEL accessibility standards (WCAG) and responsive design principles
- Scale-able and performant web APIs using modern methodologies using REST GraphQL WebSockets
