JOB SUMMARY:
The Media Management Intern will support the organization tracking and archiving of media assets across various creative and production projects. Working closely with the Media Management and Creative teams the intern will assist in metadata entry asset ingestion file organization and the development of workflows to maintain an efficient and searchable media archive. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the media lifecycle within a fast-paced creative environment.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supports the ingestion organization and tagging of digital assets into the companys media asset management (MAM/DAM) system.
- Assists in applying accurate metadata to media files ensuring consistency and searchability across all projects.
- Prepares and track editorial assets such as proxy files EDLs file transfers and reference materials.
- Participates in the review and consolidation of legacy drives and archives materials ensuring assets are deduplicated and properly categorized.
- Follows established naming conventions and folder structures to maintain order and clarity within shared storage environments.
- Collaborates with editors producers and creative asset managers to support day-to-day media needs and asset delivery.
- Helps manage uploads/downloads and transfers.
- Contributes to internal documentation for workflows naming conventions and asset handling procedures.
- Provides basic troubleshooting support for missing or mislabeled assets and flag any inconsistencies for review.
- Maintains Data Integrity and Security following organizational protocols for handling sensitive or proprietary content.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy procedures training and Team Member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- In pursuit of an Associate Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Sophomore or above.
- Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
- A transcript is required upon application.
PREFERRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
- Preferred majors include: Media Production Video Production Media Management Library Science or similar.
- Preferred coursework completed: Media Film or Television Production or similar.
- Exposure to editing tools (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro DaVinci Resolve)
- Interest in or experience with media organization platforms such as iconik CatDV or Adobe Bridge
- Basic knowledge of video file formats codecs and production terminology.

- This internship will be an in-person experience based in our Orlando offices.
- Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university and must have a graduation date later than April 2026.
- Universal Orlando does not provide housing. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
