Job Description
Mercy Flights is Hiring a Temporary Opportunity: Accounting Specialist (Accounts Payable Focus)
The Finance Department is offering a temporary opportunity for an Accounting Specialist to support essential accounting functions with a strong emphasis on accounts payable.
This position will assist with invoice processing vendor reconciliations and timely payments as well as supporting related duties in payroll reconciliations and deposits.
Position Details:
- Status: Temporary (up to 3 months with a possibility to extend)
- Schedule: Full-time preferred (MondayFriday up to 40 hours/week between 7:00 AM 6:00 PM)
- Department: Finance
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the accounts payable process: reconcile vendor statements accurately code and enter invoices and process payments
- Manage employee credit cards and expense reports
- Prepare bank reconciliations and ensure alignment with the billing system
- Process deposits and maintain petty cash
- Assist with payroll support financial reconciliations and documentation for audits
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting accounts payable or finance roles
- Strong attention to detail accuracy and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial and payroll records
- Team-oriented with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
