Job Description
We are seeking a Payroll Specialist for our client a leading company in the manufacturing industry located in the greater Sacramento area. This role plays a vital part in ensuring accurate and timely in-house payroll processing for over 300 employees maintaining compliance with regulations and payroll-related functions across the organization.
Pay range: $30.00$35.00 per hour (DOE) Direct Hire Onsite in Sacramento
Key Responsibilities:
- Process payroll transactions including salaries wages benefits deductions and reimbursements.
- Ensure compliance with federal state and local payroll regulations.
- Maintain payroll records and generate reports for audits and management.
- Assist employees with payroll-related inquiries ensuring accuracy and prompt resolution.
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to support payroll functions and improve processes.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of in-house full-cycle payroll experience preferably in manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of payroll regulations certified payroll prevailing wage tax laws and compliance requirements.
- Experience with payroll systems (Kronos preferred) and Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent attention to detail organizational skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
