Job Posting: Journeyman Electrician
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team. As a key member of our electrical department you will be responsible for installing maintaining and repairing electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.
Job Responsibilities:
- Install maintain and repair electrical wiring equipment and fixtures
- Read and interpret blueprints schematics and electrical code specifications
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems using appropriate testing devices
- Ensure all electrical installations meet local and national electrical codes
- Mentor and supervise apprentice electricians
- Collaborate with other trades and project managers to complete projects on time
- Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to all safety protocols
Qualifications:
- Valid General Journeyman LME MPE Electrician licenses required
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician
- Strong knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints
- Experience commercial and industrial electrical systems
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
- Capable of standing kneeling and crouching for extended periods
