Job Description

The State College Area School District is currently accepting applications for an as-needed interpreter/translator for the following language: Korean.

This hourly position assists school personnel families and students in communicating more effectively. The interpreter/translator is responsible for oral translations during parent/teacher and parent/administrator conferences and during the administration of tests to students. The interpreter/translator is also responsible for written translations from English to the needed language for such purposes as notification regarding school activities student progress disciplinary actions etc. The interpreter/translator may also be asked to support written translation from the needed language to English for such purposes as translating school records medical records notes from parents etc.

The District is searching for candidates who demonstrate a commitment to professional growth and development and possess various professional experiences. Organizational and collaborative skills are critical to success in this position.

Compensation: $25.95/hour
