We have a challenging and exciting opportunity for an Associate Manager - Production who is energetic can multi-task and problem solve and has the drive and motivation to learn and grow in a fast-paced setting in an expanding business.
Primary Purpose:
The Associate Manager - Production is responsible for managing and directing production activities within the pumps hoses kitting pack out paint and fabrication departments. The Associate Manager Production coordinates the production of goods ensuring production of essential components required for assembly. The Associate Manager - Production will provide technical and quality support to ensure all manufactured products are built in compliance with required codes specifications and most importantly customer expectations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Motivate support and provide guidance to production staff.
- Ensure all safety standards are met to keep the organization accident-free.
- Communicate regularly with upper management regarding problems or issues impacting production.
- Evaluate machine resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime.
- Establish a balance between increased productivity and reduced costs of operations.
- Develop policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality.
- Ensure proper training for all Leads and associates.
- Ensure all SOPs and GMP are strictly adhered to.
- Work closely with Quality to ensure all units produced meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
- 5 years of experience in production or other related fields within a manufacturing environment including supervisory experience.
- Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
- Ability to effectively communicate coach and motivate employees.
- Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to operate hand tools and mechanical equipment.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
- Must be adept at handling pressure in various customer situations and working well under deadlines.
Preferred:
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.
Education/Certification:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; college degree is preferred.
Manager Responsibilities:
Manage 2 Supervisors 5 Leads and 60 production workers.
