REPORTS TO: Director of Information Technology/Systems
DEFINITION: Under general supervision provides administrative support for the Technology department within the Somerton School District No. 11.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

SPECIFIC DUTIES/TASKS INCLUDE:
Performs a variety of secretarial support activities; researches summarizes and analyzes information; compiles data to prepare special and recurring reports containing sensitive information; maintains and files Technology data records; verifies accuracy of work; assists with completion of forms; performs general clerical duties including typing translating filing copying answering phones and providing visitors and staff.
Orders appropriate products and supplies; assists the Director with all aspects of paperwork for the if Purchase Order is required completes all purchase requisitions and obtains appropriate approval. Processes and follows up on purchase orders; maintains balances ensuring that purchase order amount is not exceeded. Plans and arranges meetings; communicates arrangements to appropriate individuals; creates and maintains department procedures manual and handbooks. Monitors and ensures accurate reporting of staff attendance and processes leave request payroll information and submits to the District office.
Assists visitors by answering questions or providing information regarding school and District policies and procedures. Assists with master schedule data entry inventory list and data entry for district website. Supports school secretaries with PowerSchool and state reporting. Creates templates for exporting. Contacts and screens records for release to other updates and maintains student information in the computer system. Prepares paperwork for staffs travel requests including hotel and car reservations and conference related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS:
Knowledge of District and school policies and procedures.

Knowledge of administrative support and record-keeping techniques.

Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work is performed in an indoor requires frequent standing walking and positions may require bending and lifting up to 25 pounds.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Two (2) years secretarial and/or administrative support experience preferred. Bilingual preferred. Fingerprint Clearance Card (IVP) required at the time of hiring. Additional certifications may also be required as specified by the District.
