Job Description
Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join one of our long-term clients team at (1) of their properties in St. Paul MN. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years experience in residential maintenance experience as a Maintenance Lead or Supervisor experience working with multiple properties and over 300 units at one time. Boilers experience is required and Boilers License is highly preferred. This role is contract to hire (90 days before conversion).
- This role will be working with (1) property that was built in 1961 and has 372 income restricted units and stories.
Salary: $28-$30/hour DOQ. This role is contract to hire (90 days before conversion).
Schedule: Monday Friday 8am 5pm. No on-call.
Responsibilities and Job Duties:
- Provide a variety of skilled building maintenance including repairs to sinks windows floors and other parts of the building.
- Maintains the grounds assigned which may include trash pick-up shoveling and sweeping curb/dumpster area maintaining landscape beds and other areas.
- Preparation of vacant units for occupancy which may include cleaning responsibilities.
- Lead motivate and train additional staff members leading by example.
- Install repair (including soldering) and maintain various plumbing; heating and air conditioning fixtures; perform metal fabrication and welding.
- Installation and repair of major and minor appliances (e.g. washer dryer refrigerator stove microwave dishwashers etc.).
- Troubleshoot maintenance issues diagnose problems replace and/or repair parts test and make necessary adjustments to ensure issues are resolved.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs as needed.
- Complete minor work orders such as snake toilets/drains repair/replace leaking faucets remove/replace caulking replace different components of toilets adjust/replace door closures and replace locks deadbolts and passage locks.
- Always demonstrate courteous and efficient customer service.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 2 years experience in residential maintenance within affordable housing is required.
- 1 years experience as a Maintenance Lead or Supervisor experience working with over 300 units at one time.
- Be able to pass a Kari Koskinen background check.
- Boilers experience is required license and certifications are highly preferred.
- Have a valid drivers license and valid auto insurance as this role will be roving between properties
