About the Team:

Lambeth Prevent team works to ensure LB Lambeth delivers its statutory Prevent Duty in line with Section 26 of the Counter Terrorism and Security Act 2015 (CTSA) and associated statutory guidance. This places a duty (often known as the Prevent Duty) on London borough councils to have due regard to the need to prevent people from being drawn into terrorism.

About the Role:

Lambeth is a Prevent hub borough and will support local authorities in the South London region (LBs Southwark Croydon Sutton Bromley Bexley Lewisham and Greenwich) to deliver their statutory Prevent Duty. The postholder will be responsible for building relationships with local authority Prevent leads in the non-funded areas and working with these leads to identify gaps in delivery. It will support these areas to build a regional risk picture and support the development and delivery of their action plans. It will also work with these areas to develop regional project bids and coordinate the delivery of funded projects. In addition the post will develop Prevent training for these areas and engage with local communities across the cluster to support engagement with Prevent.
