A bit about the job:
This role within Avivas Commercial Lines Chief Underwriting Office exists to support the Financial Lines team working closely with product heads and underwriters to set standards improve propositions and deliver great outcomes for our customers. Youll help shape the future of underwriting across a wide range of products and platforms.
What youll do:
Support Avivas Financial Lines business across all our underwriting platforms (Global Corporate & Speciality Lloyds & Company markets Regional Mid-market SME and Digital).
Work on technical underwriting matters across one or more of our Financial Lines products: D&O Professional Indemnity Financial Institutions Crime M&A Legal Indemnities Surety and Cyber.
Collaborate with stakeholders on Avivas underwriting standards risk appetite and technical guidance.
Assist others to improve products propositions and wordings in response to legal and market developments.
Facilitate best practice in underwriting governance through execution of Avivas quality assurance frameworks.
Stay ahead of emerging risks and global economic legal and political trends.
Champion good customer outcomes and regulatory compliance.
Skills and experience were looking for:
Experience within Financial Lines within an Underwriting Claims Broking Reinsurance Actuarial or Legal role (for a Legal Professional or Financial Services business).
Understanding of underwriting processes and regulatory frameworks.
Interest in ESG emerging risks and international developments.
A forward-thinking mindset and energy for improving ways of working within our business.
Passion for teamwork mentoring and knowledge sharing as well as commitment to an inclusive engaging and collaborative culture.
