Littleton Public Schools is seeking a qualified special education teacher withstrong content area knowledge and experience working in specialized programsincorporating methodologies of Applied Behavior AnalysisProgram Teacher Responsibilities- IEP development implementation and maintenance.- Instruction in all content areas as needed- Lesson plan development- Assessment evaluation and reporting- Parent Contact- Management of educational and behavioral progress- Serve as a liaison to other service providers- Coordinate weekly clinical consultations- Collaboration with the special education teamProgram DescriptionThe PACE Program is a full day special education program within the LittletonPublic Schools that comprehensively addresses the needs of students withdevelopmental neurological and cognitive impairments serving grades 6-8 atLittleton Middle School. Communication social development content areainstruction functional skills and adaptive behavior are primary areas of focuswithin the PACE Program. The Program provides opportunities for highlystructured direct instruction as well as inclusion in small and larger groups forsocial and academic instruction in order to address functional and sociallysignificant goals. The program promotes generalization of skills to the generaleducation environment that aligns with the students PACE Program staff is comprised of a collaborative team of educatorscounselors specialty service providers support staff administrators and healthcare Components- Individual and small group academic instruction- High student to teacher ratio- Functional application of content area instruction based on the MassachusettsCurriculum Frameworks- Systematic delivery of instruction that promotes generalization and applicationof mastered skills
