Job Description
Need for dynamic personnel for our Metal Recycling Facility in the Shredder department at The Port of Brownsville Texas. Candidates will be part of a production driven team assisting in material preparation and gathering material by hand daily housekeeping duties and assist with performing preventative maintenance procedures on our machinery and equipment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform general construction labor to include job site clean-up and moving of materials by hand as picker labor in the shredder department.
- Operating motorized equipment including power tools saws hammers nails and bolts.
- Work requires alert individuals with good balance and physical strength.
- Working during inclement weather could be exposed to extreme cold and heat noise and dust from construction operations depending upon project site.
Minimum Qualifications
- Frequently lifting carrying pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds of material and up to 90 pounds of material with assistance if requested.
- Frequently walking stooping kneeling reaching and climbing.
- Frequent use of hand and power tools.
Preferred Experience
- Preference given to candidates with a minimum of 12 months of construction labor work experience. .
