Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Occupational Therapy professional to join our team as either an Associate Lecturer (Level A) or Lecturer (Level B) with a primary focus on Practice Education.

This role offers a unique opportunity to take a leadership role in shaping and delivering high-quality student-centred practice education across our Occupational Therapy programs.

This is your opportunity to:

  • Lead with purpose by coordinating and innovating our Practice Education offerings ensuring they reflect contemporary practice and meet accreditation standards.
  • Inspire future professionals by supporting students on placement and preparing them for client-centred theory-informed and evidence-based practice.
  • Engage deeply with partners and community through collaboration with placement providers and external organisations to co-design high-quality clinical learning experiences.
  • Enhance student success by delivering authentic and inclusive learning supervision and mentoring experiences in both classroom and placement settings.
  • Advance meaningful research by contributing to occupational therapy scholarship and potentially exploring research related to practice-based learning supervision or clinical education.

The Occupational Therapy program at Griffith is known for its commitment to active authentic and occupation-centred learning. This role will support the strategic direction of the discipline through a strong emphasis on Practice Educationenhancing the learning experience for students in both simulated and real-world environments.

This position is a continuing full-time position primarily based at either the Griffith University Gold Coast or Brisbane South (Nathan) campuses. As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may be required to work across other campus locations.

Salary Range
The full time equivalent base salary will be Academic Level A range $79984 - $107561 per annum 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $93581 - $125846 per annum.

The full time equivalent base salary will be Academic Level B range $113226 - $134460 per annum 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $132474 - $157318 per annum.

About You
Youre an enthusiastic forward-thinking Occupational Therapist who is passionate about developing students real-world readiness through exceptional practice education.

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy.
  • Registration (or eligibility to register) as an occupational therapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. 
  • A passion for authentic occupation-centred education and student success.
  • A strong commitment to contemporary inclusive teaching practices.

For Lecturer (Level B) appointments you will also possess:

  • A doctoral or masters qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline or significant progress towards a doctoral degree.
  • A developing or established record of research output or educational scholarship.
