The objective of the Student Programs at Nexteer Automotive is to selectstudents with high potential and provide them with real world work experiences. Work assignments expose students to many of the companys products processes and procedures. Assignments are designed to assimilateacquired classroom education with actual hands-on work experience in a technical environment. This is a Student Co-op position located in Auburn Hills MI. This position supports the supply chain management activities to the Senior Global Commodity Manager (GCMs) for Semiconductors.
- Support GCM on all global data collection validation analysis and negotiation activities for the commodities.
- Support GCMs to run RFI/RFQ activities and supplier market competitiveness tests. Collect all quotation and technical feedbacks and support GCMs to compile compare the feedbacks
- Support to prepare review and compile the documentations for GCMs negotiation and supplier contracts
- Support to GCMs development activities on company-wide commodity targets including cost reduction P2P CIP and support GCMs activities on day to day communications with the regions and global implementations
- Support GCMs activities on existing suppliers assessments performance review meetings prepare QBR presentations follow up on open issues with suppliers and regional counterparts
- Support GCM on procurement processes benchmarking development & implementation of best practices.
- Support GCM to monitor supply markets and trends and aggregate forecasts & global specifications.
- Support GCM on contingency plan and communication activities with both suppliers and region teams when Semicon force majeure incurs and support needed.
Requirements:
- Candidate must be attending a 2-year college or 4-year university local to Auburn Hills MI
- Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelors in Supply Chain/Operations Management or Electrical Engineering
- Candidate must be able to work 20-32 hours during Fall and Winter semesters
- Must have minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA on 4.0 scale
- Must be a full-time student (12 or more credits) during Fall and Winter semesters
- Candidate must have strong analytic ability
- Candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Products (Office 365 Word Excel Powerpoint Project)
- Candidate must have excellent Communication Documentation Skills and attention to detail
- Candidate must have result driven mindset in a complex environment
- Candidate must be able to work onsite in Auburn Hills MI
- Candidate must have right to work in the US and not require current or future sponsorship
