Job Description

ROLE: I.T. Support Specialist

REPORTS INTO: Senior Director of Operations

What is an I.T. Support Specialist at Salt:

An I.T. Support Specialist at Salt Productions ensures smooth tech operations by providing user support managing software and hardware systems and maintaining security standards. They oversee onboarding support cloud tools like Google Workspace assist with device management and help improve and evaluate tech systems to keep the company running efficiently.

This is a great role for someone early in their I.T. career whos highly organized detail-driven and eager to learn the ropes in a creative startup-style environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • I.T. Support

    • Implement I.T. onboarding and offboarding processes including Google Workspace account support MFA profile support and company software account support and license allocation.

    • Develop reference materials and operating instructions for software users.

    • Provide technical support for team members and handle support cases efficiently.

    • Install and update company software and hardware as necessary.

  • Systems Analysis

    • Assess the compatibility of new programs with existing systems and evaluate their potential.

    • Review and suggest improvements for current programs based on objectives and specifications.

    • Demonstrate expertise in cloud-based technology and network architecture by supporting Google Drive management.

    • Anticipate and report on the cost of replacing or upgrading computer equipment.

  • Cybersecurity

    • Implement and monitor security measures to ensure compliance with digital security standards.

  • Project Coordination & Management

    • Manage projects with strong organizational planning and time management skills.

    • Support Sr. Director of Operations with managing the relationship with third party I.T. vendor.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in an I.T. Support role (agency events or creative environment a plus)

  • The ideal candidate will possess a base knowledge of computer science digital security and I.T. infrastructure.

  • Strong Google Workspace experience and Mac knowledge required.

  • Highly organized and process-orientedthe successful candidate will also be able to translate the goals of our event industry professionals into applicable I.T. solutions

  • Friendly proactive and eager to help behind the scenes

  • Comfortable juggling shifting priorities in a fast-paced setting

  • A natural communicator with a people-first mindset
