The primary purpose of the Principal Laboratory Assistant Chemistry position is to perform routine and special procedures and duties processes and prepares specimens for reference laboratory pick-up makes reports from reference laboratories available to clinical and surgical units out-patient clinics etc. Maintains filing system for the records under the direction of the Chief Technologist and Section Head. Process specimens for the central Chemistry testing maintains supplies save/store specimens according to policies and procedures. Principal Laboratory Assistants play a large role in the upkeep of the laboratory. This includes managing laboratory inventory preparing and cleaning lab instruments ensuring work areas are clean and performs clerical duties when necessary.

Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
One (1) year of related laboratory experience is required preferably in a health care environment.
Ability to read write speak and understand or communicate in English sufficiently to perform job duties
What We Offer
Compensation(NJ Job Transparency Law)
The expected hourly range for this position is $20.36 - $21.48 per hr in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Law; final compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
