Function:The SID Teacher must provide a learning environment that is both stimulating as well as sensitive to the needs of children who have a severe and profound disabilitiesEssential Functions:Provide learning activities to all children that are appropriate to their supervision and guidance to Paraprofessional(s) who are assigned to the with parents to disclose individual student cooperatively with other professionals including related service providers: Chapter 1 teachers Chapter 1 counselors and special education staff in meeting the needs of the regularly scheduled meetings regarding individual students and programming an individualized education program (IEP) suited to the needs of each child and establish educational goals and objectives for each student on an IEP consistent with state education academic and social growth of pupils and keeps appropriate records of such informal support and counseling to parents and/or guardians as and requisition books instructional aids instructional supplies and other related duties as may be assigned.QualificationsRIDE Special Education SID certificationESL RI certification is preferred
