The Role
As a ScienceContent Coach you will serve as the primary instructional resource for our Graduation Candidates (GCs) delivering competency-based content supporting personalized learning and guiding students toward graduation and post-secondary success. Youll work with a collaborative team to provide academic social-emotional and career-oriented support that empowers each learners journey. This full-time position is based in Broward County and plays a key role in shaping student achievement in science content areas.
Key Responsibilities
Enrollment
- Support new GC enrollment through recruitment and engagement efforts
- Assist with the development of Personalized Learning Plans for GCs
Retention
- Serve as an advisor for assigned GCs by maintaining communication with learners and their support team
- Monitor attendance academic progress and overall wellness to ensure consistent engagement and achievement
Academics
- Plan and deliver content-area instruction in both individual and small group settings
- Monitor GC academic progress toward course completion and mastery using formative and summative assessments
- Analyze and use academic data to inform instruction and improve outcomes
- Provide remediation and enrichment opportunities to address learning gaps and accelerate success
- Participate in professional development data meetings and school/community events
Advocacy
- Collaborate with the GC support team to develop personalized learning pathways transition strategies and incentive plans
- Represent the academy in community events and contribute to academy-wide initiatives
- Perform other responsibilities as needed to support the academys mission
What Were Looking For
Education: Bachelors degree required Masters preferred
Licensure: Georgia 6-12 secondary certification in Behavioral Science/Earth&Space/Chemistry (REQUIRED)
Experience: 2 years of teaching experience (high school preferred)
Skills: Strong communication time management instructional planning and collaboration skills
Passion: A deep commitment to helping at-risk youth succeed academically and personally
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in non-traditional or at-risk youth settings
- Bilingual (Spanish preferred)
- Familiarity with behavior intervention strategies and alternative education models
- Experience with competency-based learning instructional coaching or project-based education
- Strong comfort with educational technology tools and platforms
