Job Description

Title: Orthopedic Coding Specialist & Account Representative

Employment Type: Full Time

Work Hours: Monday through Friday days

City: Bettendorf

State: Iowa

Position Responsibilities:

In this position youll be responsible for evaluating operative reports medical records and implant records to ensure completeness accuracy and compliance and assigning ICD-10 CPT and applicable HCPCS codes. Youll effectively optimize reimbursement while ensuring legal compliance. This is an office-based role. ORA holds all of our staff members accountable for providing high level care maintaining patient confidentiality and complying with all HIPAA rules and regulations. As a member of our ASC team youre actively involved in work that makes a significant difference in the lives of our patients.

Requirements:

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent as well as an active certification in medical coding. Previous healthcare experience preferably in Orthopedics is also required. A successful candidate will possess considerable knowledge of surgical operations and functions and display excellent interpersonal oral and written communication skills. Candidates must have the strong ability to multitask and prioritize appropriately and the ability to effectively communicate and interact with patients and their families.
