Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate PRN Occupational Therapist to join our team. In this flexible role you will provide therapy services on an as-needed basis helping patients improve their ability to perform daily activities and enhance their quality of life. This position is perfect for professionals looking for flexibility while making a meaningful impact.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient evaluations to assess functional needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions to improve mobility coordination strength and daily function.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on exercises adaptive equipment and strategies for improving independence.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapists speech therapists and physicians to provide holistic patient care.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines and best practices in occupational therapy.

Qualifications

  • Education: Masters or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Active and valid Occupational Therapist license in Insert State.
  • Experience: Prior experience in occupational therapy (preferred but not required).
  • Skills: Strong communication problem-solving and patient-care skills.
  • Certifications: CPR certification (preferred).

Work Environment

  • PRN (as-needed) position with flexible scheduling.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a high standard of care.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as an Occupational Therapist required
  • Excellent verbal written and interpersonal skills
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to navigate electronic documentation.

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Evaluates assigned patients and develops implements and modifies treatment plan in accordance with the patients need and physicians direction within the post-acute setting.
  • Supervision of occupational therapist assistants within scope of practice
  • Communication with interdisciplinary team with focus on case managing patients needs not minutes!
