Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is looking for you to join our team as a Staff Systems Engineer to serve as the Maritime Targeting Cell Expeditionary (MTC-X) Lead Systems Engineer based out of Aurora CO.
What Youll get to Do:
Performs technical planning system integration verification and validation cost and risk and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept design fabrication test installation operation maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical schedule and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis timeline analysis detail trade studies requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. Maintain existing operations procedures up-to-date to also include lessons learned from real-time performance. Develop new procedures as required. Interface with program and customer personnel.
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in a STEM discipline with 12 years of relevant experience; 10 years with a Masters; 8 years with a PhD
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance at time of application
- Ability to work in a fast-paced matrixed organization
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
- Ability to successfully liaison with MTC IPT Leaders
- Well versed in:
o Radio Frequency (RF) engineering
o Hardware drawings rack elevations power distribution and networking
o Development and presentation of System
o Engineering Technical Reviews
o Requirements and Performance Specifications
o Information Technology knowledge (servers switches storage)
o Concept of Operations (CONOP)
o Use Case development
Preferred qualifications:
- Knowledge and experience on maritime mission platforms
- Software Integration
- Project Confluence Jira tools
- Model Based Systems Engineering
Salary Range: $171000.00 - $256400.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience education skills and current market conditions.
