Caterpillars Construction Industries Services Division (CISD) is hiring a Senior Parts and Service Marketing Consultant for Hydraulics. You will serve as the expert responsible for the development and execution of world-wide Hydraulic Pump & Motors/Cylinders & Rods go-to-market value message and growth strategy to drive profitable parts revenue and Percent of Parts Sales (POPS) growth targeting multiple Construction Industry customer segments.

You will work very closely with internal partners such as the Sales Execution team Distribution Services Division (DSD) and Hydraulic product groups to develop and execute comprehensive short/mid/long term growth. Assignments/projects are complex and strategic in nature in hydraulic business and the individual must feel comfortable with the dynamic environment and have ability to rise above the noise to see bigger pictures to build a strategic & tactical go-to-market framework.

What Youll Do:

  • Develop Hydraulic solutions following New Services Development (NSD) framework & discipline.

  • Mentor team members within the broader Parts & Service organization.

  • Drive POPS growth through development of products and programs.

  • Deliver new products and programs globally or regionally

  • Gather and provide Voice of Customer (VOC) and Voice of Dealer (VOD) to the engineering manufacturing purchasing pricing and logistics teams.

  • Develop coordinate and present training materials to various audiences including dealers.

  • Work along with senior management in planning major programs and objectives for the division.

  • Execute competitive analysis manage parts variance and replicate pilot solutions globally.

  • Segment target and position market opportunities to gain market share.

  • Work across various functional business units to achieve parts objectives and work with global partners along with districts dealers and customers to implement parts marketing activities align strategies and drive parts growth.

What You Have (Core Skills):

  • Service Excellence: Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques; ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner.

  • Consulting: Knowledge of techniques roles and responsibilities in providing technical or business guidance to clients both internal and external; ability to apply consulting knowledge appropriately.

  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit receive and accurately interpret ideas information and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

  • Influencing: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.

  • Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches tools techniques for recognizing anticipating and resolving organizational operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

  • Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients vendors and peers.

  • Strategic Thinking: Knowledge of the importance of big picture thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

  • Strong data analyticsskills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI.

  • Hydraulic and machine experience will be an asset.

  • Experience with 6 Sigma Black Belt or project management.

  • Experience working in the field or with Caterpillar dealers.

Additional Details:

  • Preferred work location: Peoria IL

  • This role can also be located in other CISD Hubs such as Dallas TX or Cary NC.

  • Domestic Relocation assistance may be provided for this role to Peoria IL.

  • This position requires working a 5 days per week schedule in the office.

  • Travel: up to 30%

Summary Pay Range:

$126000.00 - $189000.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors job level market locationjob-related knowledge skills individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
