Job Description
Summary:
Our client is seeking a Senior Product Engineer to join their team! This role will lead the development of high-impact backend and fullstack product features in a fast-paced AI startup focused on automating consumer-facing auto loan servicing communications. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative agile environment and be excited to deliver scalable compliant systems that support loan servicing call auditing and internal tooling.
Responsibilities:
- Lead development and ownership of critical product features both backend and fullstack
- Build scalable compliant systems for loan servicing call auditing and internal tools
- Collaborate cross-functionally with compliance product and executive teams
- Work in agile podshipping and iterating weekly to deliver impactful solutions
- Write clean efficient Python code within a Python-native tech stack
Required Qualifications:
- 4 years of professional software engineering experience
- Expert proficiency in Python with top-tier fluency expected
- Experience working in both Big Tech companies and early-stage startups
- Proven track record of building user-facing products and scalable infrastructure
- Strong academic background from a top-tier university (e.g. Stanford CMU MIT)
- Willingness and ability to work long hours onsite Monday through Thursday approximately 8 AM to 7 PM
Education/Certification Qualifications:
- A Bachelors or higher degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field from a top-tier institution
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience as a teaching assistant for advanced computer science courses
- Familiarity with the auto lending industry regulatory compliance or large language models (LLMs)
