Job Overview
We are seeking a Junior Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Podar Education Network located in Nellore and Cuddapah. In this full-time role you will be responsible for providing psychological support to students and staff leveraging your expertise and skills. We require candidates with 1 to 3 years of work experience in clinical psychology.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficiency in psychological assessment including testing and diagnostics of cognitive and emotional disorders (Mandatory skill).
- Strong skills in patient counseling to provide guidance and emotional support to individuals (Mandatory skill).
- Expertise in cognitive behavioral therapy with the ability to apply CBT techniques effectively (Mandatory skill).
- Ability to conduct mental health screenings to identify symptoms and direct individuals towards appropriate interventions.
- Strong report writing skills to accurately document assessments treatment plans and progress notes for patients.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices in psychology to ensure the application of scientifically validated treatments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students families and educational staff.
- Capacity to design and implement intervention programs that cater to the diverse needs of the student population.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Conduct psychological evaluations and assess students cognitive and emotional needs within the school setting.
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to help students manage challenges and improve mental well-being.
- Develop and implement therapeutic interventions based on cognitive behavioral techniques to support student growth.
- Collaborate with teachers and parents to create supportive educational environments and individualized plans.
- Engage in mental health screenings and identify students needing further professional evaluation or support.
- Document all client interactions and interventions accurately maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.
- Stay abreast of the latest research and improvements in clinical psychology to enhance treatment strategies.
- Participate in continuous professional development and contribute to the mental health awareness initiatives within the network.
