About the role
We are seeking an experienced Mortgage and Protection Advisor to join ourteam within our busy Newton Mearns branch in Glasgow.

With direct access to buyers on-site branch support and a trusted brand behind youyoullbe ideally placed to grow your client base and contribute to our continued success.

The successful candidate will provide mortgage and protection solutions along with holistic financial planning to meet the needs of our clients and effectively collaborate with the sales team to help identify and generate financial services leads.
About you
Youllalready be an established Mortgage and Protection Advisor (CMAP qualified or equivalent).

In addition to technical expertise and a strong understanding of regulatory and compliance procedures we are looking for someone with a proactive approach to business development and lead generation. You will be expected to actively build and maintain relationships creating opportunities for growth and expanding our client base. A customer-focused mindset along with strong collaboration communication problem-solving and planning skills will be essential. With a positive self-motivated attitude youll strive to exceed targets and deliver exceptional service at every opportunity.
Key responsibilities
Delivering exceptional service
  • Responsible for adhering to agreed mortgage and protection services sales processes with the aim of delivering an exceptional service experience.
  • Responsible for meeting and exceeding your personal targets and contributing proactively to the team targets
  • Actively promoting and building the business through prospecting/ contacting potential clientsin accordance withthe firms business plan and developing andidentifyingnew business opportunities
  • Undertaking sufficient product and market research to make suitable recommendations to our clients and offer a great client experience
  • Reporting and keeping in regular contact with clients bymaintaininga robust follow-up of all financial sales opportunities
  • Being proactive inidentifyingand dealing with any issues raised by clientsin order toensure an exceptional service experience
  • Trained to expert standard on sales database (CRM) and proactively uses the database functionality by recordingaccurateand detailed customer information.
  • Generating positive customer reviews (Google Reviews etc.)
  • Attaining andmaintainingrequired levels of competence as required by the firm (CAS)
  • Taking a proactive approach to continuous personal development keeping up to date with changing legislation actively seeking opportunities to develop skills and capabilitiesfor the role

Compliance & Administration
  • Understanding regulatory compliance requirements and responsible for ensuring all required documentation is received and processed to meet regulatory requirements:
  • Conducting business with integrity due skill care and diligenceretainingaccountability for advice quality.
  • Responding promptly to compliance feedback
  • Ensuring all customers are treated fairly with clear and suitable advice. A duty of care isdemonstratedto vulnerable customers and reasonable measures are taken toevidenceunderstanding of the information given.
  • Awareness of Anti Money Laundering Regulations and financial crime issues relating tohigh-riskcountries or countries linked to terrorism
  • Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of data input by yourself into CRM
Key requirements
Essential
  • CMAP Qualified or equivalent
  • Whole of market mortgage and protection experience
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of compliance procedures including record keeping requirements.
  • Proven ability to deliver exceptional standards of customer service
  • Proven ability to deliver financial targets and KPIs
  • Proficient in the use of IT systems including MS Teams Word Excel & Outlook
Desirable
  • Knowledge of the Glasgow Newton Mearns housing market
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Prior experience in Customer Record Management (CRM) or a comparable database
