What youll be doing

Youll be joining CIBCs Capital Markets team specifically the Alternate Solutions Group. Youll be at the heart of CIBCs digital transformation successfully delivering complex enterprise-scale mobile projects involving multiple back-end an Consultant Application Development youll assemble implement and maintain easy flexible and personalized solutions that enhance the client experience across the ASG group of lead the planning and strategy for the technical design development and integration of these applications.

How youll succeed

Design and development - Perform and coordinate complicated application programming activities. Design the applications technical infrastructure using specific databases programming languages utilities and testing the design and development of cost-effective and innovative solutions.
Strategic planning - Develop multi-year technology roadmaps that align with the banks vision strategy and business goals. Lead multiple complicated projects involving backend systems new technology and the enhancement of existing applications.
Continuous Improvement:Be the advocate for continuous improvement in both process efficiency and effectiveness as well as development best practices that ensure quality of work. Be able to bring a positive influence to the team you work with. Having the right understanding of modern technology and modern development culture is an asset.
Leadership skills - Act as the development team lead and run code-review sessions with the wider team to ensure the project is on track to meet goals. Support and mentor intermediate and senior developers by sharing knowledge collaborating and problem solving.

Who you are

You can demonstrate experience in: at least 5 years of Java 21 Spring SpringBoot SQL/Oracle Azure cloud DevOps and RESTFul services. Its an asset if you have experience in JSF Angular and an understanding of async Kafka or Solace.
