We are looking for aProject Engineerto join our FEEnergyteam in Houston TX.

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Participates in the supervision of projects in regards to the completion of:
    • Review and compilation of project specifications and procedures engineering schedules assignment of resources and estimated costs
    • Preparation of design concepts including calculations layouts and prototype testing of components assemblies and equipment
    • Preparation of design layouts for assemblies and components
    • Preparation of engineering details and drawings using Computer Aided Design (CAD) systems
    • Preparation of Bills of Materials and Engineering Specifications or other detailed documentation to record design requirements
  • Ensures that design details are cost effective conform to customer requirements and company standards. Verifies and validates work done by Drafters and Design Engineers.
  • Organizes and supports administrative functions of the department including order review design review and project team meetings.
  • Oversees the technical activities of engineers designers and drafters and takes responsibility for accuracy and completeness of engineering work outputs.
  • Provides training and direction for engineers designers and drafters in the execution of their assigned duties.
  • Assists engineering management in the training development and motivation of engineering personnel
  • Adheres to company and department policies procedures and standards
  • Supports cooperates with and participates in company-wide EHS Management System which includes following all safety health and environmental policies and procedures. Supports and cooperates in company-wide Quality Management effort.

To succeed in this role you will need:

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field or equivalent training and experience required.
  • Good interpersonal communication analytical and computer skills
  • Eight (8) years experience in the design of rotating equipment
  • Mechanical design (3D models) and drafting skills (2D drawings); Experience with NX preferred by not Required
  • Working knowledge of ANSI and ISO Drafting Standards
  • Mastery of engineering concepts and application principles of all core products or has demonstrated related equivalent experience
