Job Description

STUDIO TECHNICIAN SCULPTURE & EXPANDED MEDIA
This position is part time benefits eligible. The successful candidate works during the Academic Year and is only scheduled between the months of August and May.
Were looking for a dynamic organized and highly creative individual to join our team as the Sculpture and Expanded Media Technician! Reporting to the Academic Affairs Operations Manager youll play a central role in maintaining vibrant and functional studio spaces supporting students and faculty and overseeing tools materials and equipment that make artistic exploration possible.
In this exciting and fast-paced role youll manage and maintain department facilities and inventory lead tool and equipment checkout support classroom needs and facilitate documentation and exhibition of student work. Youll mentor student workers offer demos and open studios and keep our supply store running smoothly. Whether its casting coding sewing or digital fabrication your broad knowledge of sculpture and expanded media practices will be put to excellent use every day.
Were looking for someone with exceptional communication skills technical know-how and a love for collaboration. If you have a BFA/BA or equivalent experience in art/design and can lift up to 50 lbs stand for long periods and thrive in a creative environment wed love to meet you!

Compensation
This is a full-time non-exempt is commensurate with experience and offers a benefit package including; paid time off accrual 13 paid holidays as well as additional time off while the college is closed during winter break. CIA offers health and dental insurance life and disability insurance 403B retirement contribution tuition remission free campus parking and inter-museum council discounts.
