Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Crane Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating large crawler cranes and heavy equipment at shipyard ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation as well as the ability to work collaboratively with other team members to achieve project goals.

Duties

  • Operate 200 ton crawler cranes.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure safety and functionality before use.
  • Collaborate with site supervisors and other operators to coordinate lifting operations and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  • Maintain clear communication with ground personnel using hand signals or radios during lifting operations.
  • Perform routine maintenance on cranes to ensure optimal performance.
  • Follow all safety regulations and guidelines while operating machinery in various weather conditions.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Crane Operator or in a similar role involving heavy equipment operation.
  • Valid NCCCO crane operator certification is required.
  • Familiarity with construction site practices and safety regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
