Job Description
USCs Alfred E. Mann School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is accepting applications for a Pharmacy Technician at the Keck Medicine of USC Specialty Pharmacy. The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for prescription order entry filling prescriptions processing refill prescriptions answering phones retrieving messages stocking shelves and supplies conducting sales interacting with customers preparing packages for delivery scheduling deliveries and preparing reports as necessary. Additional duties will include obtaining prior authorizations financial assistance and billing and filing paperwork.
Preferred Experience: McKesson Enterprise Pharmacy Software Cerner Electronic Medical Record.
The hourly rate range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00. When extending an offer of employment the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position the candidates work experience education/training
Minimum Education: Specialized/technical trainingMinimum Experience: 1 year
Minimum Field of Expertise: Completion of accredited pharmacy technician training program or equivalent experience as per Board of Pharmacy technician regulations sec. 1793.4. Knowledge of pharmacy law rules regulations pharmacology & medical terminology manufacturing procedures. Valid Pharmacy Technician Certificate of Registration State of California.
