Ferguson is hiring a Corporate Security Specialist in Newport News VA. This position is responsible for supporting Fergusons global security efforts through the growth and development of our physical security strategy and business continuity areas. The primary and initial focus for this role is to manage a multi-year project to modernize physical security controls at branch locations. The role has potential to shift in future years to other areas as the initial project work subsides.
Location:
This is a Hybrid role based out of our corporate offices in Newport News VA location in accordance with the Ferguson Flex schedule; 3 days office / 2 days remote.
The standard working hours for this position are 8AM to 5PM ET Monday Friday. Occasional variation from this schedule may be required to meet business needs. Exceptional candidates may be eligible for a remote work arrangement should they live outside of a reasonable commuting distance from Newport News VA.
Responsibilities:
Design physical security controls for company locations including new construction remodels and upgrade requests.
Influence location associates to adopt new technologies and mindsets for physical security controls.
Partner with other HQ departments to facilitate smooth deployments of physical security controls
Subject-matter-expert and problem solver in the space for physical security controls and technology recommendations.
Support the companys business continuity function including the issuance of critical mass notification alerts to locations regarding risk/ threat events.
Support other corporate security functions including investigations activities case entry interview note taking and data analysis activities.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree required (or equivalent experience)
Proven experience (3 years) managing physical security programs for a corporate security department in a large matrixed-approvals and spend authority organization
Prior experience with project management methodologies
Flexibility to prioritize and triage competing priorities to maintain a balance of good customer service and support critical outcomes
Proven track record of innovation and implementing new strategies
Experience with change management a plus

Pay Range:

$4124.70 - $6783.70-
Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
