This is an exciting opportunity to teach within our Communication and Interaction unit. The team within the unit will support children with speech language and communication needs. The unit is situated on the Elveden school site and is part of the school community. The children within the unit will benefit from an enriched and needs- specific learning environment but will also spend time learning within Elvedens mainstream setting. This small-scale approach gives our pupils with speech language and communication needs a real opportunity to thrive and achieve their potential.
We are seeking a committed and vibrant Specialist Teacher with a passion for Speech and Language Provision that can be achieved alongside a child-centred EYFS/KS1 curriculum. We require the teacher to either hold a relevant SENDCo Award or have a real interest in teaching pupils with SEND so that they can be responsible for assessment planning and monitoring.
Elveden C of E Primary Academy is a small rural school on the outskirts of Thetford and Brandon. We are very welcoming and friendly with excellent relationships with our parents and wider community. We currently have 103 pupils on roll and will be growing to 105 with an exciting expansion in progress. Within the unit the pupils on roll will be 18.
