Reporting to the Assistant Deputy Minister Treasury and Risk Management as the Executive Director Treasury Operations you will oversee the Provinces banking cash forecasting and mid-office functions related to the issuance and administration of the provinces debt. Providing accurate and timely short-term and medium-term cash forecasts implementing appropriate control and compliance processes reporting on key performance measures and leading implementation of a new treasury management system are key accountabilities for you and your team. You will provide strategic leadership to a team of financial professionals in improving efficiency of cash management and banking across government and evaluating and managing strategic and operational risks related to the provinces debt portfolio.
As a member of the Treasury and Risk Management divisions executive management team you will participate in developing debt short-term investment and cash management strategies that will ensure the division meets its goals of prudently managing the provinces cash and debt and contribute to divisional planning and implementing divisional and departmental initiatives.
Your background includes extensive progressive experience in senior financial leadership roles with a strong understanding of debt capital markets financial management and control including cash management banking debt instruments and financial derivatives. Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills with an ability to manage a number of concurrent activities will be key in leading and mentoring teams and working effectively with external parties internal stakeholders and financial market participants. Excellent negotiating and influencing skills as well as problem solving and decision-making abilities will support your success. Knowledge of governments financial systems and procedures would be an asset.
A related graduate degree preferred. Chartered Financial Analyst or Certified Treasury Professional or Chartered Professional Accountant designation or similar degree/designation also preferred.
$5234.94 - $6879.68 bi-weekly ($136631 - $179559 annually)
