Job Description

Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota is a dynamic social service organization serving children youth and families people with disabilities older adults and military veterans. In this role you will have the opportunity to design implement and provide oversight of organizational learning and development systems to strengthen employee knowledge and abilities and improve leadership capabilities to support the overall health of the organization. Work with the organizations executive team and senior leadership to identify and diagnose organization needs objectives design programs and initiatives to meet those objectives and ensure delivery systems are efficient and cost-effective. Provide support and guidance through change management by helping the organization adjust to large-scale transitions. This role will have 2 direct reports.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor in Business or Human Resources Development or Organizational Management and Development or a field with applicable course work.
  • At least four years of experience in Employee Development and Organizational Development.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills: demonstrated ability to write proposals policies training programs and surveys.
  • Knowledge to plan execute and oversee organizational learning and development initiatives and design and lead employee events.
  • At least two years of experience managing a Learning Management System.
  • Ability to perform comfortably in a deadline-oriented work environment and execute complex tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to create facilitate and deliver leadership development curriculum and performance support programs.
  • Ability to evaluate and assess complex organizational challenges provide integrated management solutions and use training techniques and blended learning strategies.
  • Demonstrated experience in interacting with executives and line staff effectively.
  • Must effectively work with and engage LOS teams and cross functional teams in organizational initiatives to achieve desired results.
  • Proficiency with email systems calendars and Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Word Power Point Excel and Publisher).
