The Vovis Center for Research and Advanced Study & Health Professions Advising invites applications for a part-time Project Assistant. Reporting to the Center director the assistant provides support for the Centers broad agenda to foster student engagement with research and creative study opportunities at the College. This is a part-time (10-15 hours/week) appointment for the academic year 2025-2026 ending May 29 2026.
PrimaryResponsibilities
Supervise threeRichter Ambassadors student leaders who assist other students with their Richter grant application for research or creative projects.
Promote engagement in off-campus summer research opportunities
Assist with website updates for the office along with marketing of various Vovis Center programs
Support the implementation of the Centers annual research and creative work symposium HORIZONS.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree required
Experience in higher education administration non-profit administration or marketing and communications preferred.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with colleagues in the Vovis Center office and across the College.
Strong interpersonal communication and writing and administrative skills to interact with students alumni staff faculty prospective families and any guests.
Demonstrated computer proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Zoom (web conferencing) online scheduling and appointment systems (e.g. Handshake Google Slots) graphic design (Canva) and cloud-based software systems such as Google Workspace and/or the ability to learn new technologies quickly and efficiently.
