Job Description:
The Department of Pathology at the University of Toledo Medical Center (UTMC) is seeking a full-time tenure track academichematopathologist/clinical pathologist.
The successful candidate will share primary clinical responsibilities at Utoledo Health with eight other anatomic/clinical pathologists. Teaching of residents and medical students is a critical part of this position and the successful applicant must have exemplary teaching skills. Excellent opportunities are available for independent or collaborative research and the candidate is expected to develop a strong publication resume. Responsibilities:
- Collaborate primary clinical responsibilities at UTMC with other pathologists
- Teaching of residents and medicalstudents is a critical part of this position and the successful applicant must have exemplary teaching skills.
- Excellent opportunities are available for independent or collaborative research and the candidate is expected to develop a strong publication resume.
- Provide services Monday through Friday
- Call every sixth weekend
Minimum Qualifications:
- M.D. or equivalent degree
- Must be AP/CP Board certified
- Must have successful completion of Fellowship in cytopathology along with Board Certification
- Must be eligible for licensure in OhioEvidence of excellence in teaching and evidence of significant scholarly activity are essential
- Minimum of 1 year experience in Pathology/Cytopathology
