Brown University Health has an opening for an experienced board-certified physiatrist with an interest in neurorehabilitation to join our growing academically oriented Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department. Our outpatient locations are in Providence and Newport RI. About the job:
Serve as the medical supervisor of outpatient rehabilitation services
Time is split roughly 25% administrative 75% clinical
Provide direct patient care as well as management of the multi-site outpatient PM&R team
Partner with the Chief of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Senior Vice President of Brown University Health and outpatient PM&R staff physicians to set goals and priorities for program development
Work primarily with general musculoskeletal and neurorehabilitation services
Provide care on a lifelong basis including related medical physical psychological and vocational disabilities and complications
Champion the transdisciplinary approach providing evidence-based and goal-directed care across all environments
Onsite dedicated therapists (PT OT SLP Audiology and Aquatic)
Partner with education social and community services
Guided Ultrasound for office-based procedures
Weekend Call for the acute inpatient rehabilitation unit (IRU) is 1:7 week

Board certified in PM&R
Fellowship training preferred
Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
