Job Description
If you are a software engineering professional who enjoys critical thinking solving difficult technical problems and is looking for an opportunity to grow Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Shakopee Minnesota location you will create world-class embedded software for pressure and temperature industrial process measurement devices which are used in safety and mission-critical applications.
In This Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Working with an interdisciplinary team
- Performing Object-Oriented Design and coding of real-time embedded software
- Participating in software requirements activities including elicitation analysis and documentation
- Participating in extensive peer reviews
- Creating and executing unit and integration tests
- Debugging software and hardware/software integration issues

For This Role You Will Need:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or Science from an Engineering School
- Two (2) years of applicable experience
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering Software Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- An ABET-accredited engineering degree
- Good communication skills and the ability to participate as a member of a team
- Experience with related technologies (C/C Object-Oriented Design UML real-time operating systems microcontrollers serial communication protocols such as SPI SCI IIC)

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary within the local market in which we operate and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is $85000-$95000annually commensurate with the skills talent capabilities and experience each candidate brings to a role.
