Housing Works fights for funding and legislation to ensure that all people living with HIV/AIDS have access to quality housing healthcare HIV prevention and treatment among other lifesaving services.

We have three comprehensive healthcare plans to choose from based on your priorities and budget. Housing Works covers most of the plan; you pay a portion based on your salary. Staff begins accruing PTO immediately for a total of up to 30 days earned in the first year. We offer employees an educational benefit. Compensation Range: $95000-105000 annually
Position Overview
The Associate Director of Healthcare Operations is a motivating leader with hands on experience who will build and maintain efficient and effective clinic operations that leverage information technology and processes that maximize output across Housing Works Health Centers and other support systems of the Health Centers including the Call Center.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement operational workflows by operational role that optimize health center performance.
- Ensure standardization in operational roles including developing training materials check lists and workflows
- Collaborate with the VP Data and Software Application to develop reports that are accurate and reflect key operational measures and performance.
- Support the VP Healthcare Operations and the Health Center Directors by developing and disseminating reporting that includes actionable data to improve operational performance.
- Analyze data related to efficiency and accessibility of the operations and make recommendations to the VP Healthcare Operations and Executive Director on improvement opportunities.
- Oversee the management of the organizations call center to ensure accurate and effective scheduling practices are utilized.
- Use best practices in the field of performance improvement including Lean practices.
- Assure recruitment retention and development of operational staff required for the health center operations.
- Ensure after-hours systems are established and well maintained.
- Develop improvement projects that ensure the call center is effective and delivers high quality customer service.
- Attend and actively participate in monthly management and other appropriate meetings conferences and workshops.
- Ensure operational systems are maximizing access and the availability of appointments for all new and existing patients.
- Participate in workgroups and committees to expand services offered in the health centers
- Act as a liaison between Health Services and other internal departments
- Work with the Director of Digital strategy to ensure online presence is accurate up to date and identify and engage key patient populations to increase clinic volume.
- Supports and participates in advocacy efforts to end the crises of homelessness substance use disorder and HIV/AIDS
- 5 years experience in Healthcare Operations required
- Bachelors degree preferred.
- Training in operational excellence and performance improvement such as Lean practices is preferred
- Self-directed and self-disciplined with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
