The Assisted Living Manager is responsible for directing the operations of the Assisted Living communities of Paradise Valley Estates and implementing maintaining and coordinating operations projects and financial matters within core areas. The Assisted Living Manager supervises the care of all residents by assigned team members and follows approved medical procedures in all aspects.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Plans organizes and oversees work with and for Assisted Living services and accepts accountability for activities under direct control.
  • Assures compliance with Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH) and other federal state and local regulations that apply to Assisted Living.
  • Ensures that the written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of Assisted Living are followed by all assigned Registered/Licensed Vocational Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants.
  • Cooperates with other resident services when coordinating nursing services to ensure that each residents total regimen of care is maintained.
  • Performs administrative duties such as completing medical forms reports evaluations studies charting waivers and exceptions.
  • Participates in surveys made by authorized regulatory agencies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience as a supervisor in a hospital long-term care facility or other related health care facility. Training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices preferred. Some experience in geriatrics is preferable.
  • Must hold a valid Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse license for the State of California or show proof of an application for such.
  • Must be a Certified Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE) Administrator or obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • Must hold current Basic Life Support (BLS) with First Aid certification.
  • Must have a valid California Drivers License and be able to drive a golf cart.
