The YWCA Greater Harrisburg is seeking an experienced supervisor/leader motivated to transform the lives of survivors of domestic violence sexual assault and human trafficking. The Direct Services Supervisor offers an exciting opportunity for a proven leader who seeks a sense of purpose and meaning to advance the YWCAs vision of creating just communities while working for a cause greater than oneself.
Position Details:
Hours: M-F 8am to 4pm with on-call rotation
Salary : $58000/yr
Key Responsibilities:
Supportand guidedepartment staff through daily work activities and projects.
Monitorand assessemployee performance to ensure maximum productivity; identifying and addressing areas that need improvement to ensure that goals deadlines and performance standards are met.
Monitorand evaluatethe quality of services provided to survivors to ensure employee performance and services are provided in alignment with standards and regulations.
Supportstaff through routine and continuous feedback monthly supervision and case review opportunities.
Createand managecrisis schedules to ensure24-hour coverage of department services.
Developstaff through training and skill development opportunities.
Documentemployee performance for positive recognition and areas of improvement.
Collectand recordservice data and submit reports as required.
Providesupport for crisis services includinghotline crisis intervention accompaniments information & referrals intakes and other services as may be required.
Attend community and state coalition meetings related to domestic violence and sexual assault.
Performon-call supervisory responsibilities as assigned including overnight shifts weekends and holidays.
Position Requirements:
Bachelors degree in human services or related field OR Associates degree with at least 2 years experience in a management role or in a crisis-related organization
Previous experience in a supervisor role managing staff performance a MUST
Advanced verbal and written communication skills along with developed emotional intelligence
Demonstrated knowledge and application of leadership skills
Strong organizational skills with distinct attention to detail
Ability to resolve complaints and issues while maintaining a professional and calm disposition
Ability to multi-task adapt and be flexible based on the demands of a rapidly changing environment
Proficient to advanced computer skills
Ability to obtain Child Abuse State Police and FBI clearances
Knowledge of Dauphin County community resources a PLUS
Valid drivers license clean driving history and personal transportation required. Evidence of insurability may also be required.
