Quarter are looking for a Commis chef to join the team at Racks Bar & Kitchen! This fantastic role would give the successful applicant the opportunity to learn from our talented team of chefs and work with fresh locally sourced ingredients on a high-quality menu.Were looking for people looking to learn and work with fresh ingredients.
Racks Bar & Kitchen is a vibrant and fun restaurant offering great variety for our chef team - from events and parties to a fantastic Sunday lunch and daily la carte menu our food is always of the best quality! Our menu is changed seasonally so there are many opportunities for you to learn different skills and techniques. They offer the right candidate the opportunity to work with some fantastic fresh ingredients and to be involved in service from the word go - not sitting doing prep for hours! Excellent training and progression opportunities are on offer.
Key information for the Commis Chef role:
Hours: full time 42 hours per week worked over 5 shifts that will include weekends and evenings on rotation
Salary: 12.30 per hour plus monthly service charge
What youll be doing as Commis Chef:
- Involved in service from day one
- Acting as a good team player and learning from other chefs
- Helping prepare for our events and la carte menus
- Contributing ideas

You are able to maintain high standards in all aspects of your role and are keen to learn and progress! You will be looking to get valuable experience within a fast paced team where youll get to be involved in service from the word go - not preparing veggies all day!

The interview process:
The interview process will involve a first round telephone interview with a member of the HR team. Applicants who are successful at this stage will then be invited in to a short paid trial (lasting approximately 3 hours). We will be interviewing as applications arrive and reserve the right to close this position ahead of the closing date if a suitable applicant is found.
