Our client an established reputable privately owned group of companies based in Dartmouth NS is seeking a Part-time Chief Financial Officer to provide strategic financial leadership across its diverse portfolio. With a long-standing presence in project development asset management and long-term holdings this organization offers a unique opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a stable and growing enterprise.
This role is ideal for an experienced finance executive looking for a flexible commitment of 4 days per month while still playing a key role in shaping the financial direction of the business.
Key Responsibilities for the Job:
- Provide high-level financial oversight forecasting and strategic input to support growth and profitability across multiple entities
- Work closely with ownership and senior leadership to evaluate business performance and support key decision-making
- Guide financial reporting cash flow management and capital planning efforts
- Oversee risk management and ensure regulatory and tax compliance across the portfolio
- Collaborate with external accountants and internal teams to ensure efficient accurate financial operations
- Chartered Professional Accountant designation with a strong background in financial leadership
- Proven experience in a strategic finance role ideally within a privately held or multi-entity business environment
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to see the big picture while also ensuring attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a hands-on collaborative approach
- Successful in a constantly changing environment
- Self-motivated and results oriented
