We own numerous franchised restaurants operating under the Pizza Hut KFC Taco Bell and Panera Bread brands (among others). Position Summary
We are looking for someone who lives by our corporate values of Heart Integrity and Drive. The Intermediate Accountant is responsible for regular reporting of financial performance ensuring accuracy of data and adherence to accounting principles as well as performing reconciliations and preparing schedules to support all general ledger accounts. The role involves communication with Operational managers on a regular basis.
What youll do
Responsibilities
- Assist Senior Accountant (SA) with preparing and distributing profit & loss (P&L) statements for restaurants
- Prepare GL account reconciliations
- Review and posting of general ledger entries and review of GL accounts at each period end
- Ensure accounting controls and processes are followed
- Assist SA with preparing audit working papers for year end
- Provide support to the Operations staff with issue resolution
- Periodic PL issuances both draft and final (every 28 days)
- Other duties and projects as assigned by Senior Accountant
What youll need
Qualifications
- Accounting diploma business degree or minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles
- Excellent communication skills
- Enjoys a fast-paced deadline driven environment
- Great at problem solving with an ability to think outside the box
- Strong knowledge and capabilities in spreadsheets
- Self-motivated able to work independently
