Time Fraction: Full Time

Salary Guide: Circa $134387.76per annum (excluding superannuation and salary packaging)

Were seeking a passionate and experienced clinical leader to lead a values-driven multidisciplinary team delivering inclusive and holistic mental health support for adults aged 26 and over including individuals with complex presentations.

This is a rare opportunity to contribute to the transformational delivery of mental health care through the Frankston Adult and Older Adult Local Mental Health and Wellbeing Service part of the Partners of Peninsula consortium. Comprising Mentis Assist Wellways and Peninsula Health.

The Towards Change Team is a comprehensive highly skilled multi-disciplinary team comprised of a creative arts therapist Alcohol and other drugs specialists mental health nurses and specialist occupational therapists. The team is inclusive of lived experience and is supported by a capable leadership structure and proficient administrative support ensuring the delivery of high-quality treatment care and support.

About Us

Mentis Assist is a leading not-for-profit Community Managed Mental Health Service (CMMHS) established in 1987. We specialise in supporting individuals with severe mental health conditions by delivering flexible recovery-oriented services. Our mission is to enable people to lead meaningful lives by enhancing their health independence and social participation.

About the Role

As the Towards Change Clinical Lead you will report to the Frankston Local Operations Manager and Clinical Director and play a pivotal role in delivering impactful mental health services. You will work closely with other senior roles at the Local to provide unified and strategic leadership in conjunction with the Operational Manager.

Youll coach supervise and inspire a team of specialist clinical mental health practitioners while ensuring high-quality recovery-focused care tailored to local needs. As a senior employee of Mentis Assist you will work collaboratively across the consortium to reshape and embed the delivery of care in Frankston.

The Towards Change Clinical Lead coordinates and provides supervision to the mental health clinicians in the Towards Change specialist assessment and clinical intervention team. This involves monitoring team KPIs and assuring that clinical governance obligations are met. Working in tandem with other Local Adult and Older partners and consumers the Towards Change Clinical Lead ensures that the Local Adult and Older Adult Mental Health and Wellbeing Service values service principles and operational standards are upheld.

Key Responsibilities

Build lead and support a multidisciplinary team in delivering evidence-informed clinical care

Create a values-based team culture grounded inclusion safety and lived experience

Embed consumer and carer co-design in service delivery

Provide high-level clinical oversight supervision and staff development

Collaborate with consortium partners to ensure seamless community-centered care

Ensure the delivery of culturally safe integrated and effective clinical practice

Actively participate in clinical governance meetings and consultations

Participating in clinical reviews and case conferences including assessment and referral to other services within the Frankston Local and the wider community

Undertake initial and ongoing risk assessments of consumers. Develop risk management plans to provide a safe environment for service users and team members.

About You

Relevant tertiary qualification in Allied Health Nursing (Credentialed Mental Health preferred) or Master of Psychology

Minimum of 5 years experience in mental health with a strong background in community-based care

Current registration with AHPRA or relevant professional body

Demonstrated ability to lead develop and support multidisciplinary clinical teams

Proven track record in building inclusive co-designed mental health services

Strong interpersonal collaboration and communication skills

Adaptable value-led leadership style

100 points of identification

Relevant clinical experience particularly in a community mental health setting

Additional Requirements

Victorian Drivers License

Right to work in Australia

Current National Police Check and Working with Children Check

Evidence of COVID-19 vaccination or valid medical exemption
