Job Description:
Responsible for the design development and implementation of standards methods and procedures for inspecting testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of company products in compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
Essential Functions:
- Performs analysis on reported nonconformities and discrepancies related to assembly process mechanical electrical electro-mechanical systems field and clinical data. Further investigate the cause for discrepancies and nonconformities to develop disposition and recommend corrective action plans.
- Leads material review board and Failure Review Board activities.
- Interfaces with manufacturing engineering customer vendor and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met.
- Conducts program quality and manages internal/external corrective actions.
- Serves as the primary interface to customers for quality-related matters.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Secret US Security Clerance
- TipQA SAP LN or other related ERP or Nonconformance management software.
- Space aerospace and military production experience.
- ISO9001/AS9100 Compliance or auditing
- Certified by the American Society for Quality (ASQ) as a Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
- Requires a good general background in electronics inspection soldering and workmanship to Military Standard J-STD-001 and Inspection Standard IPC-A-610 work plans and assembly practices.
- Knowledge in interpretation test procedures and equipment material review function (failure cause identification and corrective action) contract review and interpretation configuration control and good communication skills both verbally and in written reports.
- Practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
- Maintains direct liaison with customers and/or GSI throughout assembly and test and coordinates sequence with Environmental Lab monitoring test activities.
- Collects analyzes and presents data in various forms to Managers customer representatives etc.
- Analyzes ATP (Acceptance Test Procedure) & ATDR (Acceptance Test Data Record) to present along with a product to the customer as required.
- Conducts investigative work to solve resolve & proactively disposition quality-related programs.
- Review customer/supplier quality requirements to ensure correct clauses are imposed per Purchase Order/Sale Orders.
- Reviews and develops methods and procedures for in-process inspection testing configuration reliability and evaluation of standard programs.
- Use PC with standard programs such as Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint Access and Outlook).
In compliance with pay transparency requirements the salary range for this role in California is $72000 - $133500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
