In November 2024 Government announced their plans to reform childrens social care in England in their vision Keeping Children Safe Helping Families Thrive aiming to create a more effective and equitable system for supporting children and families in need focusing on keeping families together wherever safe and possible strengthening kinship care and addressing excessive profits from care providers.
We are seeking an exceptional Senior Project Manager to lead on the delivery of Social Care Reforms in Newham. The successful applicant will ensure that Newham delivers fully against legal national and local change requirements in relation to Social Care Reform. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of transforming Childrens Social Care in Newham.
You will be a highly competent and experienced Project Manager with a background in working in a Childrens Services or similar at a local authority or voluntary organisation who will be ready to hit the ground running and take forwards our ambitious plans to transform Childrens Social Care in Newham.
This role will sit within the Childrens Transformation and Commissioning at the heart of Children and Young Peoples Services. It is initially for 12 months with the possibility of extension.
