Role: AWSAzure Cloud System Administrator
Location: Rochester NY (Hybrid)
Level: Senior level
No H1-B
Our client is looking for 1 highly skilled AWSAzure Cloud System Administrator to join their team in Rochester NY (this is an onsite role).
The ideal candidates will have a passion for cloud computing and a strong understanding of AWS services and Azure Services.
A couple months back we published a role for a junior cloud engineer for the same client. None of those candidates will qualify for this role so please do not resubmit.
This is a senior role. Please do not waste time submitting unqualified candidates. They will not be passed on.
10 years experience with AWS/Azure
- Hands-on proficiency with Terraform CloudFormation Security Protocols (Security assessment Security automations Compliance Security automation Monitoring) and Multi-Cloud Environments
- Strong troubleshooting automation and collaboration capabilities
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in computer science or related field
- 10 years of experience with AWS/Azure
- Strong knowledge of AWS services
- Experience with cloud automation tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience in debugging performance and technical issues
- Experience with monitoring tools middleware software and ITSM tools a plus
- Excellent technical knowledge of IT Infrastructure including switches routers wireless access points server operating systems and hardware storage arrays and security applications
- Strong technical knowledge of current protocols operating systems and standards
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals and procedural documentation
- Terraform knowledge
- Ability to translate requirements into end-to-end designs for systems that involve multiple interfaces and supporting data repositories
Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage AWS/Azure cloud infrastructure
- Automate deployment and management processes
- Monitor and optimize performance of cloud resources
- Support the hybrid multi-cloud by maintaining security protocols
- Configures optimizes tunes and monitors operating system software
- Develop and deploy cloud solutions to Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Maintain cloud-based servers patching vulnerabilities backup/restore operations provision new servers configure monitoring systems lifecycle management
- Establish configuration compliance and audit program to effectively manage AWS
- Keep up with the latest trends and understand the competitive edge compared to similar product stacks technology ideas patterns and methodologies
- Collaborate with Product owners Enterprise architects Business subject matter experts as well as other application teams
- Ensure data security and compliance
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues
