Job Description

Job Description Summary

The Lead Engineer will develop specifications testing inspections and documentation for electronics components and their replacement parts for nuclear power plant applications. They will interface with Sourcing and Quality personnel and with suppliers and GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy product departments.

Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the team in resolving technical issues in support of current projects equipment under test or in-service platforms;
  • Ensure on time delivery of detailed design and technical support for manufacturing & tests;
  • Provide power electronic solutions for products & projects;
  • Demonstrate your analog and digital electronics design knowledge managing requirements designing verifying and testing power distribution and controls products.
  • Use your knowledge of the product development lifecycle to provide technical support to the team and the wider business.
  • Have excellent technical problem solving skills; to be able to assess problems thoroughly and drive logical conclusions (i.e. common sense approach not embarrassed to ask the obvious questions).
  • Develop manual or automated production test procedures to ensure products reliability and functionality.
  • Provide technical support to technicians for various testing activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree inelectrical/electronicengineering from an accredited university/college equivalent qualification or equivalent level of knowledge and experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of power electronics experience in an Engineering position
  • Minimum of 3 years experience with National Instruments LabVIEW and TestStand

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
  • This role requires working onsite in our headquarters in Wilmington NC or San Jose CA location (relocation assistance available)

  • Be familiar with technologies in power switching and control circuitry.
  • Experience in diagnostic troubleshooting of both Analog and Digital Electronics.
  • Hands on experience with measurement instrumentation such as oscilloscopes logic analyzers etc.
  • Programming experience in LabView.
  • Experience using automated test systems and writing automated test programs.
  • Experience writing Technical Documents.

The base pay range for this position is $86k - 112k. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidates experience education and skill set. This position is also eligible for bonuses such as a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. This position is expected to close on 6/26/2025.

The company pays a geographic differential of 110% 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
